H.U.D. Rehabilitation
Idaho H.U.D. standards, a formal Rehabilitation Inspection is required before the state will issue a Certificate of Compliance. REBorn & Son’s is fully licensed in Idaho to complete this process from start to finish.
Below is an overview of what the rehabilitation process looks like and what is required for us to sign off.
Rehabilitation Process Overview
Before a manufactured home can be certified as safe and compliant, a series of system inspections and repairs must be completed. These steps ensure the home meets all H.U.D. and Idaho Division of Building Safety requirements.
1. Licensed Provider Assessment
A certified representative from an Idaho-licensed manufactured home service company or installer—such as REBorn & Son’s—must inspect the home and complete the official Rehabilitation Form.
2. Electrical System Testing
All electrical components must be tested to verify proper operation, safety, and grounding.
If any issues are found, repairs must be made by a properly licensed electrician.
3. Gas System Testing
Gas lines, appliances, and connections must be pressure tested and confirmed leak-free.
Repairs must be completed by a licensed gas technician.
4. Water System Testing
Fresh water lines and plumbing systems are tested to ensure proper pressure, flow, and overall functionality.
Any repairs must be performed by a licensed plumbing professional.
5. Sewer System Testing
Wastewater lines must be checked for blockages, leaks, or functional issues.
Corrective work must be handled by a licensed sewer or plumbing contractor.
6. Rehabilitation Form Completion
Every inspection and repair must be documented on the Rehabilitation Form, including:
- The licensed professional or company who performed each inspection
- What work or testing was completed
- Any repairs made
Once all required steps are finished, an authorized REBorn & Son’s representative signs the form.
7. Submission to Idaho Division of Building Safety
The completed Rehabilitation Form is submitted to the Idaho Division.
Only after all documentation is verified will the state issue a Certificate of Compliance.
